Recent Enhancements to Connect Discussion Emails

A couple of significant enhancements have been rolled out to make it easier for you to participate in discussions on the Open Forum and other Connect communities:

1. Streamlined, mobile-friendly emails

The format of the discussion messages have changed, both visually and programmatically. Visually, you will notice a cleaner, more streamlined format that makea it easier to read and interact with the message. The coding behind the messages has also been changed so that the message render properly no matter which device you read the email on (computer, tablet, phone).

2. Participate via your email program

You now can post and reply to discussions from your email program rather than having to login to the Connect site. When you receive a message, you will see two blue buttons:

* Reply Online - this will take you to the website, similar to the previous reply functionality
* Reply via Email - this option will keep you in your email program and will generate an email reply to the discussion. Simply type your reply and click send. Your message will be posted to the group.

Note that these two options will generate a response back to the group. If you wish to reply only to the person who posted the message, use the "Reply to Sender" link that appears at the bottom of the message.

If you wish to view the entire discussion on a particular topic, click the "View Thread" link at the bottom of the message.

If you wish to start a new discussion without logging onto the Connect site, you can send your message via email to the group's address - which varies for each group you belong to. For the Open Forum, it is njscpa_njcpamemberopenforumne@ConnectedCommunity.org.  For other groups you belong to, you can click the "Reply via Email" button on one of the group's email and then copy & save the address that appears in the "To" field. We suggest you save the address as a contact in your email program for easy future use.
