After a few days of meeting so many new people and learning
about everyone’s unique life story, I feel I’ve developed a much clearer
picture
of the current business environment in New Jersey and what it takes to
stand out above the
crowd. The convention is designed to be entertaining as well as
meaningful, and there is a big enough variety of sessions for everyone
to take something away with them.
I've
really enjoyed being a part of NJSCPA events in the past year. They have
introduced me to people who provided me with job referrals, have
allowed me to enjoy a few days in Atlantic City (on the house!) and have
allowed me to practice the skills I'll need to advance my career. I've
made friends and I've made business contacts. My LinkedIn profile is
more robust and I've even become a blogger for a short while.
If
you think you have a lot to offer, you should consider volunteering at
an event. Becoming a part of the NJSCPA will make you a member in a
growing body of like-minded professionals. It could make all the
difference.
