Wrapping Up "IssuesWatch with Ralph Thomas"

In 2014, the NJCPA launched "IssuesWatch with Ralph Thomas", live updates from our CEO and Executive Director on issues that impact CPAs and financial professionals. In the last nine months, hundreds of CPAs have received free CPE credits (one credit for each webcast, to be precise), just for being NJCPA members.

Last Friday, we broadcast our final IssuesWatch of the year, with panel members Ralph Thomas, NJCPA President Brad Muniz and NJCPA COO Ellen McSherry discussing tax issues, including the upcoming tax season, tax extenders, the debate about the cash basis of accounting, efforts to reform NJ’s estate and inheritance taxes and other professional news.

Here a wrap up of some of the hot topics discussed during the webcast and information about some of the issues that Ralph, Brad and Ellen couldn't get to:

Another friendly reminder that the end of the triennial is upon us. Here's a short video for CPAs who don't think that they'll have enough credits by the end of the year. Remember, there is no grace period.

If you're just a handful of credits short, we're offering a variety of events, including the all important Law & Ethics course, through the end of the year.

And register now for the first IssuesWatch webcast of 2015: Thursday, March 26, 9-10am.
